1->2 - ()  Very good shape

In front of the Hermitage of Guarimiar, go up the cement ramp, then take the stairs on the right in the bend. Before the house, turn right on the small path that climbs towards the ridge. There the path on the right goes up from the Cabezo, on the left it continues towards the Lasadoy pass.

Let's go up the path towards Lasadoy. The hike passes on the right side of the mountain which separates the valley of Benchijigua and that of Imada. A little before arriving at the pass, on our right we have a path that goes up from Benchijigua on our left it continues towards the pass.

Let's continue towards the pass which is just above above the abandoned village of Lasadoy. Let's leave the path on our left which leads to terraces. Further on, a path climbs to the right towards Tajaque on the backbone of the island, to the left it follows in the direction of Imada.

Let's follow in the direction of Imada. Soon we see the small village of Imada which we reach by a cement path, paved and bordered by a balustrade, up to the road and the bar of Arcilla.

Let's go down the paved road from the Arcilla bar, to the basketball-handball court on the left and down the stairs before the court. Then cross the road to go down the stairs which pass above the houses. Arrived on a path that descends from the road, turn left. The trail is marked and passes through a narrow gorge before crossing an abandoned irrigation canal.

Leave the canal following the path that descends towards the hamlet of Guarimiar. Just before reaching the houses, from the bed of the river, the path goes up towards them to continue towards the Rumbazo and Playa Santiago. Following the bed of the river you reach the end of the paved road.

Follow the bed of the river to reach the paved road and continue on it to the Hermitage of Guarimiar.

Description

Sendero circular en una de las zonas más especiales de las medianías del sur de La Gomera, caracterizada por sus extensas lomadas, antiguamente cultivadas de cereales, de pendientes reducidas y cortadas por barrancos bien encajados.
Desde la Ermita de Guarimiar (324 m), en el Barranco de Guarimiar, el sendero sube para entrar en el barranco de Benchijigua-Pastrana que se une más abajo con el de Guarimiar-Imada. Nos sorprende la vista sobre el roque de Agando que nos acompañará hasta el paso hacia de nuevo el barranco de Imada encima del el antiguo caserío abandonado de Lasadoe (825m), primero. Hasta el caserío de Imada (890 m), predominan los taginastes y en primavera los suelos se cubren de «palominas» (Echium plantagineum) que los transforman en alfombras violetas impresionantes. El bar de Arcilla, famoso por su zumo de naranja, es el centro de la vida en Imada y una parada obligatoria para pacticantes de senderismo. La bajada por el impresionante cañon de Guarimiar, territorio de cabras y de numerosos endemismos vegetales, nos lleva de nuevo a la Ermita de Guarimiar.
Vegetación típica de la vertiente sur con predominio de los bejeques, taginastes, tabaibas, palmeras y piteras.
